Haven't we all.
The deal is done. Now watch for a lot of these announcements that a few of us have been hinting at.

Seriously, I think if you know anyone who might be retiring or someone who is flying with someone who is thinking of retiring, it's best to call them to get the word out.

A lot of our guys have been holding out on retirement and it will cost them big bucks if they don't get their papers in on time.
new,

It is over. DCC is 1201am 30 October. Anyone putting in their paperwork after that time will be retiring as a Delta pilot, entitled to the benefits proscribed by the JCBA (including equity). It may be too late for pilots to put in papers as NWA pilots unless they already were on sick leave or selected a date prior to 10/29 to retire.

According to some info out there they can still fax the retirement paperwork into the office today.

I am waiting to see how many actually retire. As a side note there have been approximately 200 retirements at NWA since the seniority list used for the SLI was published in July.

The more retirements the better for all of us. I hope we get a couple of hundred more.

I think you are correct. Delta corporate website says the merger has closed. Final papers were filed in Delaware. Its done. Too late to retire "prior" to DCC.

That's not the only grace period. Delta MEC just put out that the SLI arbitration ruling date has slipped to Dec. 20th. At the request of the arbitrators.
