I can't believe you guys are still arguing about this crap. The SLI will be what it will be now, and not one word posted here will influence the panel's decision. What is happening however, is that a acrimonious situation is being developed between the two pilot groups. While the regulars here understand the back and forth, comments are taken out of context when posted to other forums and those readers react differently.
Don't know about you guys, but I can think of a lot of things to do rather than argue ad nauseum about the same thing.

I was just so shocked at the argument that I didn't really put up very well thought out responses in the beginning and that only inflamed those guys. Oh well, live and learn.......
What scares me is where else are they posting that? It hasn't seemed to have hit the National ALPA forum but it's got to be on the DALPA forum. So, no matter how this thing turns out now, we'll be hearing in the bar that "you guys got that because you cheated".
All I want is a fun place to work and guys crazy enough to laugh at my stupid jokes. Is that too much to ask? We are all in this shotgun wedding together now. I even spent the extra money for an Abott (sp?) uniform so I will fit in on the airport curb. Trust me, for all the whinning I did when this first kicked off.......I'm on board now. Lets go kick JAL and British Air's butts.

Hey Carl, you dodged a bullett this APA. I thought I was going to be the #1 FO on the -400 bid list. But, 8 guys senior to me had the same idea.......but at least they didn't award any for March.
When I get there.........the Ironman has a gopher digging attachment, just don't tell the head grounds keeper

NWA started the year with about 100 DC-9's. The original fleet plan had them down to 68 by year end. A fleet plan revision in late spring changed that number to 62 at year end. I called a NWA friend and he believes they have about 70 left now so there are 8 more to be parked in the next month. He has heard of no plans not to park those aircraft. On a somewhat related note Delta is bringing 4 MD-88's out of storage to replace RJ flying.
On a somewhat positive note isn't the nwa pilot group understaffed when they switch over to your staffing model? I heard it was around 10% short so that should cover those 8 airplanes when nwa makes the switch.
That's good news to hear that 4 88's are being brought back.

All I know is that every time a guy who turns to me, whether pre DL or NW, and starts to tell me how they got screwed in the merger, I'm packing up my bags at the first opportunity and removing myself from the trip.

Ha! You may never fly, or should I say complete, another trip again.
