What has everybody found to be the best online tax software to use for our profession? I had somebody do our taxes last year, but I paid quite a bit for it, and I'd rather do it myself and save the money.

I just wanted to be sure I wasn't overlooking any deductions, but I think even if I had lost a few hundred in deductions, it would still be okay since I would save the money on the tax prep guy. I used an airline pilot tax guy last year, because he knows all the deductions, but he isn't cheap! I didn't know if there were any new tax software packages that are more geared toward people with our lifestyle. I used to use TaxAct.

HR Block premium software (including up to 3 state efiles) is completely free to anyone with an AGI of 66k or less.
The website is www.myfreetaxes.com. This redirects you to HRBlock, it is a partnership with United Way that gives free HRBlock software to anyone with AGI of 66k or less.

Unless you itemize your deductions, using some of these freebie services works. If you itemize, an accountant will give you the better deduction of per diem, standard or actual. My actual expenses outstripped my per diem reimbursement and the standard, so that is how my accountant is doing my taxes this year.
