Some think some of the original investors are wanting out. Others think Mesa needs the cash. Better opinions will be made after the IPO.

Well we can rule united or American out as being buyers. The question is do you think they shopped Mesa out before going public?
There are many institutions that will end up owning a part of Mesa simple because of the group they belong.

Of course, American and United will not be exclusive buyers. Otherwise, there is no need for an IPO. Neither major has a pilot agreement that allows them to absorb all of Mesa’s flying exclusively. American and United could both purchase chunks of Mesa during the IPO.

This filing is a wealth of information on the United side. For example, starting in June 2019, on average two E175’s come off of United CPA’s per month through August 2020 (30 E175’s). And, starting in August 2019, on average four CRJ700’s come off of United CPA’s per month through December 2019 (20 CRJ700’s). There is a discussion of negotiating an extension for the CRJ700’s but not a discussion of negotiating an extension of the E175’s. I am not sure why the extension of the CRJ700’s are discussed and the E175’s are not. An oversight?

The 30 new 175s are coming off already?
Any crazy guesses to who will fly them?
Who owns the 700s?

These are the original 30. We have 60 E175’s. It looks like the CPA was for 5 years.

What is the outlook for E175 crew? Should they be worried about it?

If United’s pilot union has their way, all 175’s will be flying for mainline pilots. All 175 flying will be brought in-house as CPA’s unwind.

Why should 175 pilots worry in this job market? I am not sure when I would worry about it as a new hire or an first officer. Probably, when it is announced the flying is lost or Mesa stops hiring 175 pilots.

He doesn't know anything. He's just speculating and fear mongering.
