I don’t see anything that says we are losing any business, or moving any bases. With the pilot shortage, some pilots simply would not make the move to ORD. So, I hope ORD is a non-starter unless we are getting the 25 E175SC’s.
Of course over the past 6 months, besides ATL, I also heard DEN and SFO as possible bases from various pilots. None of these rumors have transpired.
Given the growth that United wants for IAD, and excess gate capacity there, I could see some of our Ejets go there and keeping the 700’s already there. But, everyone tells me we won’t base two different types of aircraft at IAD.

I would still be surprised about ORD. If you look at our routes, we avoid ORD like the plague. And, JO has been clear he doesn’t want a base there. But, I guess United could give Mesa no choice in the matter given the CPA is expiring.
Maybe, we are moving the 700’s there under American colors? Let’s really get a good rumor going.

I have no idea what AAs scope is they just ordered a bunch of RJs for Envoy and PSA.
Mesa’s stock is also up 15% in a month we aren’t about to lose flying.

Why not? It makes the most sense of anything. If the 700s are always full move them to bases where the extra 6 seats don't matter. I don't see United eliminating the 700's unless they just love the Ejet over them but if that's the deal they should have ordered 45 instead of 25. The CRJ may just work well in IAD. How much IAD flying do you do now?

I think it will be public who is getting the 25 E175SC’s within the next month or two and then we will know who is losing their CRJ700’s.

Haha to be honest that’s what I heard but the person got the info via eavesdropping and it’s second hand so didn’t want to stoke that fire seemed to unrealistic to me.

Otherwise, let’s make anything up. I heard we were going to start flying Ejets for Alaska too (in my dreams).

United is looking to buy XJET from SKW and place there the new 25 175s they just ordered. 25 700s will be replaced that are currently operate by SKW... SKW I in talks to place them with Delta
Also in talks to tag all their pilots at the bottom of their seniority list
and as their capacity agreements end of those aircraft they own and lease (175s) to other regionals eventually coming to the XJET operation in the near future
No scope negotiation needed for that

Just ask SkyWest if a CPA up for renewal means the aircraft are going back. They just had a CRJ700 CPA renewed by United.
