“We also signed a term sheet (subject to final approvals and documentation) with GECAS for the purchase of ten (10) leased CRJ-700 aircraft currently operating at United. Upon completion of the transaction we have reduced the number of leased aircraft with third parties to 18.”

Sounds like they aren’t going anywhere.

Also seniority list is growing up to 1400 pilots at this rate we’ll get a little bit of 200% this summer and that’s it.

Wait for it - yes we are flush with pilots. Well -NOT REALLY. We are still very understaffed. Mesa won't cancel for crew - when they call you ask for 300 percent - even if it's 200.

We might have enough FO but certainly not enough CA. Nobody wants to upgrade and be on reserve so ..... we are short for the forseeable future. Also CA attrition is increasing. My Sr number is moving up faster this month than many months and I'm half way up.

Doesn’t Mesa usually find a way to cancel for maintenance when they have a crew shortage.

Mx and crew are both controllable so both count against Mesa in the stats for American.

Why cancel when you can delay 24 hours, like Delta does?

Didn’t say they didn’t count the same. However, the excuse is more plausible to your partner as the planes are truly getting old. Then, the partner calls your bluff and makes you put two planes on reserve, when really your reserve grid is really just short of pilots. An excuse your partner really doesn’t want to hear.

All that said I think as a pilot group it’s always been in our best interest to be in time. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t try.

Hey now. That's 12 hours, not 24.
