But looking in the mirror I'm like $1200.00 every two weeks just isn't going to cut it out here in California. I've tried my hardest man. This isn't ideal. I feel I'm about to throw away a golden ticket. And I feel for anyone who's tried and got the tbnt from United for this. I wouldn't dare disrespect the process. But life man I gotta keep the lights on. All those waiting for E-176 dates good-luck, I'd highly entertain the CRJ. And I'm currently still with the company so we shall see. Fly safe guys and gals!
As a sole-breadwinner as well with offers from several regionals, I want to simply know, which regional pays the best? Which regional, if you go and work hard, is most likely going to pay rent and feed my family?

I obviously can’t put a lot of stock in what recruiters tell me

If top earning is what you are looking for. RUN, don’t walk, away from this place.

Corporate might be easier for you. Better pay initially and still with opportunity to go to the carriers you desire.

nobody can say

they all pay poorly looking at monthly guarantee

yhe people who do “well” pick up extra work and the availability of that isn’t predictable ( and may depend on living in base)

Default Bidding

I don’t understand the PBS language. I’m junior so never worried about it; just took my schedule (usually reserve). Now I’m getting enough seniority that I should bid for some preferences, just in case. I’ve read some how-to guides but maybe because I’m older than some, the language doesn’t make any sense.
can someone private message send me a screenshot of a bid??
I’m looking for commutability, and landings in PHX. I just don’t want to do it wrong and screw myself back to reserve unnecessarily in the coming months.
also, can you bid to fly with a FA employee number or only with specific captains? Or only to avoid certain ones (I don’t have any I want to avoid but I know it’s possible)..
thx

Really sit down and take the time to read the MAG PBS 101 guide, follow the examples and if something doesn't make sense ask the individual questions to the PBS committee. Unfortunately it's not intuitive and it is a steep learning curve at first, just treat it like getting a new type rating.
