If you’re on reserve read the contract to know how to protect yourself. Crew scheduling is only there to fill a slot in an assignment that hit their desk. They barely know the contract and definitely don’t care when we spout it out to them in protest to their assignments. If you can work it? Do it and grieve it. If you’re like me and stay up to 2-3am cause that’s the life Mesa gave me, and then they schedule me to wake up in Moline at 5am? Just call out fatigue if you aren’t safe. Fill out the fatigue report and make sure your reason is because of scheduling. We aren’t super hero’s that can do anything just cause it’s legal. Know the contract, don’t be afraid to be fatigued, and most of all enjoy Mesa cause there’s definitely worse places to be

No need. Unless you are super junior, you will get later RAP. And you can avoid any morning assignment by just not confirming it for subsequent days.

Means reserves almost always have to commute in the day before. That’s why. That’s not the case at Mesa. Our reserves can bud for a 4am-4pm or noon to midnight 2 hour fallout for the entire month. Meaning a commuter could bid a noon to midnight reserve shift and always commute in the day of and are released at 6 or 7 pm on the last day of nothing is assigned and can commute back on the last day. We also have long call reserves that are on a 12 to 18 hour callout the entire month. So a commuter could be on long call from their house almost anywhere in the country.

Yeah that’s what I meant. If one sits ready every single day and never flys they only make min guarantee? Wow, that’s bad. At least here if someone gets screwed enough they will make over min guarantee on top of a taxed per diem. It’s amazing anyone thinks we have the worst reserve rules when Envoy has that garbage floating around, if true of course. I really hope that isn’t true for them.
