Sounds like candidates feel Mesa is tainted. They have a negative feeling about its future, rightly or wrongly.

anywhere except these forums.

So its official. Mesa will get rid of all CRJs and will be an ONLY ejet fleet by end of next year.

CRJ guys, better get to studying the EJET.

I wonder how the training will be for CRJ FO's who are forced into the EJET captain role. Any news on how that training is going? are they adding extra sims for them to ensure maximum success and safety? How are people doing going from CRJ to EJET?

As a former instructor there I can tell you it’ll likely go like this. They’ll have the standard syllabus that anyone gets. As long as they study and put in the effort they will get extra training if it’s needed. If they don’t, then they’ll have a chance to explain what’s going on.

safety, because simply putting in that word in a post shows you care…

Sept class was first class doing transition. So it’s too early to tell. But this isn’t the first time Mesa has done this. The guys in IAD did fine a few years ago.

I'm curious who will pay to transition these pilots from the CRJ to the Ejet - Mesa or UAL?

Wasn't the current arrangement arrived at due to the costs involved in retraining the CRJ crews?
