Exactly. Who knows what management is actually thinking but so long as you let the old habits (good & bad) that are not in line with RPAs SOPs die, it’s gonna be pretty challenging to fail you. Do your best to adopt the new procedures and call outs and most likely you’ll be just fine.

unless something changed from three years ago when I was a sim instructor, entirely possible, mesa annual training was AQP. Just not new hire training…

Thats what rumors I have been hearing. Training be harder or easy to weed out as plenty of new hires to come aboard.

Do you seriously think they are just going to “weed out” pilots who aren’t on probation? That’s not how this works. They’ll integrate Mesa into the YX footprint, but there’s no reason to fully retrain pilots who aren’t current and qualified. It’s a waste of money and will be viewed as predatory practice.

Anyone know if mesa pilots will have day 1 protections once a new contract is made

For example, needing to be 6 months at the company for ZED.

Needing to be in the company for 1 year for union protection

Needing to be at the company for x amount of time for election benifets to take over

Etc.

Basically time required things in the contract?
