Couldn't agree more. If anyone has cash and wants to gamble, I suggest non-reving to Vegas and putting that sum on "Red". If you insist on gambling with stocks, I might suggest a healthcare or biotech stock from the under 1 dollar list.

Unfortunately I have to wait 3 business days to buy the stock because it's below $4/share (damn restricted funds!), but as soon as I can I'll be tossing in for 1000 shares, assuming the price stays where it's at. The risk/reward ratio is astronomical here. $80 is not a lot of money!

In the mean time I had a few bucks laying around in my account so I just bought 72 shares in after-hours trading. As soon as those funds clear I'll see where we're at and go in for the rest. Do I feel dirty for owning Mesa stock? Yes, but it's all about the money.

Apparently someone dumped over 200K shares right before the close today. That someone must know something!

ComairFO - True that someone dumped 200K shares right before close, but someone also bought those 200K shares. So the person who bought them must also know something?? I guess it can be said either way. But 80 bux is not that much to spend. True it's a gamble, but which could lead to big gains, worst case scenario - I lose 80 bucks.... couple of nights of no drinking and i'll be fine. But I think it is worth buying the stock. To each it's own.

with mesa releasing 900 million shares out to it's debtors it could be them trying to get some cash back.

Wow i know right!! I mean 16,000 dollars worth of stock, they must be a real high roller or something!!! I bet that person knew JO personally and JO told them he was going to become a prostitute to be able to fuel Go's airplanes... They still have more bonds to come, how much more stock can be issued to pay for those???????? Don't be a tard and buy this stock there will be almost a billion shares outstanding and MESA is in massive debt with legal troubles...

If you want to gamble on airlines buy Delta and Southwest which are stable airlines... Try express jet if you want a long shot with large returns...

Talking 1,2,3, your out!

OK, couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore since most if not ALL of you really don't understand what is going on in this court case tomorrow. I know a little bit about it because I have been following it closely as I almost got furloughed in ground school when Mesa won the injunction and thus I was able to continue on with my job for an extra 6 months before finally getting furloughed.

Mesa received notice in March that Delta decided to end the 145 flying. Mesa promptly filed a lawsuit saying it was a breach of contract to cancel the contract. Then when Delta decided to move along with pulling the flying and attempting the stop paying Mesa the $20M a month as per the contract, Mesa filed a motion for an injunction, because it would have and still will be at least a year or so before the entire case can be heard. In this injunction, which is somewhat of an abbreviated, emergency court case, which are usually very difficult to win, Mesa was able to show the judge that there was good enough evidence that the contract was to be upheld until the full court case can be heard years from now. At this point Delta had already pulled all the flying from Mesa, but because of this injunction, Delta had to continue to pay Mesa the $20M a month. So like any smart company, Delta decided if they have to pay a company to do flying and they aren't flying they might as well give them the flying, which they have done. In the meantime, Delta, which clearly doesn't like Mesa and doesn't want to wait around for a year or two for the case to be heard, filed an APPEAL to the INJUNCTION. And this my friends is what the case is tomorrow. This is simply Delta's appeal to the injunction Mesa won back in May. So now in my opinion, if anyone has the upper hand tomorrow it is Mesa who has already won this injunction and has obviously proved to a judge that there was good enough evidence that he didn't believe that Delta could abruptly cancel the contract and he wanted to wait for the full case to be heard and then make a better informed decision.

FLAME AWAY!!!

Wow, I couldn't have said it better! What a bunch of Poge's! Its about time someone clearly stated in laymans terms the legality of Delta's knee jerk reaction!
