Not a huge fan of Mesa here...but I love that Delta gets kicked in the balls with this. Delta is relentless and will get what they want. They always do. Just like someone else said in a previous post, Delta will cut back regardless and it will probably be a wholly owned. Sucks for Mesaba and Comair.

Theres 5% short ratio on Mesa right now with an average delivery date of 1.5 days for those shares. Thats going to suck having to come up with those shares for the guys who went short.

I haven't sold all of my shares yet, I bought them back when it was about a nickel.

I never go short on a stock. Going short you have the potential for small monetary gains and the potential for unlimited monetary losses.

Going long all you can lose is the money you put in, but potentially can have unlimited monetary gains.

I didn't spend much on the stock back then -- it is kind of like educated gambling.

They have the deeper lawyer money pockets.

Again... Wasn't MESA supposed to get delisted if they didn't break $1.00 by the end of June!?

Junk is junk. Do not invest in any penny stocks unless you work for a major and making the big money

Its all relative to how much you want to baby-sit it.

So, besides the customer, who do you think this decision hurts the most? Comair? Who can Delta take flying away from with this Fall's draw down without violating said contracts?

I'm sure they planned the upcoming schedule with Mesa/Freedom included in the block hour hand outs.

However, in the off chance they did not, then us Comair folks will probably feel the bulk of the pinch (as usual). Mesaba will probably feel a little bit as well.

How does it hurt the customer?....Freedoms performance has been excellent ever since the first day of operations.

Delta treats their regionals like dirt.. not business partners. They sign agreements and then break them, as well as direct their wholy-owned regionals to hire staff only to sack them less than a year later. They produce memos on DLNET for everyone to see, congratulation people on the merger offering free positive space tickets - followed by an asterix excluding DL Connection. Travel benefits are like a popularity contest... It feels like being back in highschool.

They really are pitiful to be associated with. I have absolutely no care at all for any of our pax on the plane, except on a human level. I'd never do anything to save DL any money, and I don't feel a gram of loyalty to the company. I strictly do what my FOM and job duty requires, and nothing more.
