Or you get the "regional airline" lawyers who will work for cheap, sleep on a couch in the crew room, and eat vending machine food.
Pay the lawyers. First. But, restrictions should have been placed on them when hired as to how much the billing would be. Maybe it's JO's cronies cashing in????

I doubt JO is cashing in here, he's the one getting these bills.

FYI bankruptcy laws already make a few stipulations regarding expenses of the debtors counsel. For example, first class air fare is not acceptable when travel related to the case is requried. Also, counsel may only charge up to twenty dollars per person on overtime meals when required.

There is a chance the law firm J.O. uses has a reward card kind of like a supermarket? You never know they could have a program like you get 10 points for each lawsuit, earn 100 points get 10% off your next case. IF such a program did exist J.O.’s reward card could be used for a major discount in his lawyer fees or at least a nice set of new golf clubs. I’m sure this program doesn’t exist but if it did…….

We're talking about the same JO who sold Mesa's spare parts inventory to a company he created and then over-billed back use of the parts, the same JO who owned and operated the hotel that every FA and many pilots stayed in for training, the same JO who owned and operated crashpads that the IAD based FA's stayed in (maybe still does), the same JO who put all of his cronies on the BOD (the wolves watching the henhouse), the same JO who presented to the Mesa BOD's on Hawaii opportunities for a Mesa CRJ operation with a powerpoint presentation he 'borrowed' while registered as a party to purchase the assets of Aloha and Hawaiian in bankruptcy, the same JO who presented the defense of 'my CFO conveniently wiped his hard drive clean of all the evidence of insider information because he was deleting pornography from his computer' . . . is THAT the JO we're talking about?
I'm shocked that someone will take the other side in the discussion of 'does JO have his hands in the bankruptcy fees cookie jar?'

Update.
The judge has signed an order granting MAG half the time they requested for filing and socliting a POR. If the creditors committee doesn't file objection by early October then MAG automatically gets the rest of the time requested.
This move appears to give leverage to the CC in getting MAG to produce a POR for the CC's consideration.
