just a scenario, but what would happen if airways takes mesa over, buys them? Would mesa and psa merge?

Why would airways possibly do that? The current in-vogue trend is for airlines to divest, not acquire, regional affiliates.

Airways isn't always known to be vouge. As for buying up Mesa it would seem logical to merge into PSA. Same aircraft type and PSA pilots recently proposed a new rate for 86 seaters.

On another BK note there is a rumor that MAG has 47 mil unaccounted for and the judge is not happy with that. If that's true one more strike againsit MAG executive mgmt.

LCC and Skywest continue to be the most likely canidates to assume MAGs 7 and 9 acft.

Please do tell. What about this 47 mil. I thought Winglet said they had 60 mil in the bank.

Also, what is this about Skywest management sending an email to its employees about buying Mesa and making it a part of Skywest non union side.

Garbage rumor, simply because SKYW MGMT doesn't tell it's employees anything... a major case of Mushroom Management.

Just because they have 60m in the bank doesn't mean they aren't missing 47m.

None of us at SKW have seen this email. SKW could not force the mag pilot group to become non-union, although they could offer them a deal to that effect which I'm certain they would accept.

Actually it's more likely that SKW would make a deal with the creditors to liquidate mag and buy the 900's. And yes this could easily be done, mag management gets to submit a POR, but so does anyone else who wants to...SKW could simply make a deal with US for the flying, offer the creditors cash up front for the assets, and submit an alternate plan to the judge which would be backed by the creditors and more to their benefit. Remember, the whole point is max benefit to the creditors.

SKW would then interview and hire their choice of mag pilots (and whoever else applies) to do the flying. That would be a good deal for the bottom 50% at mag, other than they would not see upgrade for ten years or so.
