This is unbelievable. The fact that they continue to find creditors/buyers who will take stock as collateral is beyond me.

They're worse than a .com company from the 90's. JO must be taking his business model ideas from that sock puppet that sold pet supplies.

i'm not sure i want this re-organization plan to go through. although it may be better than liquidation. at least for some people.

The thing I don't understand is why Mesa is keeping the 6 Dash 8's? It made more sense when they had 16, but wont it cost more two have such a small fleet? Only thing I can figure is Parker wanted them to keep the Dash fleet so it was included in the new contract, for whatever reason.

Well they are going to a fuel efficient fleet. It makes perfect sense. They are making money on the Dash 8's... Why would they want to give them up? Trust me, I wanted PDT to get these, but am not shocked that Mesa will continue to operate status quo for Airways.... Hopefully minus the exclusive west coast rights...... Maybe shove Mesa up to PHL/LGA.... That could be entertaining.....

The author of the article apparently doesn't know that the Delta flying was already terminated and the United flying reduction complete. The vast majority of the furloughs have already occurred at MAG. The phase-out of the remaining CRJ-200's in the US Airways system was planned pre-petition. Hopefully a future increase in attrition will prevent further furlough.

gotcha. I didnt know if airways was getting rid of the 200s that are left as well. Could there b an increase in flying at all, whether 900's, etc.
