Mesa tried canceling the dash contract when they hit bankruptcy. Every time there is a displacement, training costs go through the roof. Airways said no, we want them in Phoenix. Operating six aircraft of one type is pricy.

Hmm, interesting information. I went to Mesa Pilot Development Program, and am waiting to be hired by them. It's been a year already. If they're furloughing more pilots, it's going to be quite a while before they need a recent grad. Bummer.

I'm sending my resume out to all sorts of different orgainzations - cargo, skydiving, regionals. No bites yet. I'll keep trying...

Thanks for the info!

Better go get a CFI cert. Nobody is going to be hiring MAPD grads again.

Wow, bad investment, As of today you will need a minimum of 1500 hrs and an ATP Check, good luck with it, not trying to be a jerk but there is no elevator to the top, gotta take the stairs. XJT was bidding on this flying but that all changed with the merger news???

That really sucks. I got furloughed in Jan (Sept 07 hire) and regardless of how crappy the company is, I miss flying with the Mesa guys. We always had such a good time, and I'll never forget it. We can thank JO for ruining a company that could have been something good.
