Agree. SVT hasn't forgot ! I hate to say it, but many have forgotten where they came from. Any and all that have left or about to leave should always lend a hand to get those left behind at Mesa out. Grant it you should at least know the person you're asking for help from.
When I bash Mesa, I'm not bashing the Mesa pilots..There is a difference |

I will continue to help any Mesa pilot I know.If they are interested in Kalitta I will try to help them out, if they aren't interested in Kalitta, that's cool. If they want a rec for another company, I will do that also.

So the spreadsheet is getting updated with folks who are going to accept recall, except there are some folks who are answering "yes" who I am pretty sure are not going to take the recall (they're at other airlines), they're doing it just to mess with Mesa by no-showing on their class date, thus throwing a monkey-wrench into the process as a final "FU" to the MAG management on their way out the door.
I get the sentiment, but it's sort of a seemingly childish thing to do when folks below them on the list want to get back to work after being on the street for quite a while. |
Correct me if I am wrong but if they mark yes and then don't show up for their ground school they will then be fired instead of quiting. They will then have to mark on all future applications that they have been fired from a 121 carrier. Hopefully that aren't screwing themselves instead of a final FU to Mesa.

I don't think most of these guys are intentionally screwing the company. They just want to keep their options open for as long as possible. Let's say someone accepts recall now but doesn't get a class date until June. A lot can happen in the regional world between now and June. It would be silly to resign from Mesa today to find that your current airline furloughs you in May. What then?
The rate that people are leaving Mesa today perhaps in June you will be able to go straight in as an upgrade. That might entice people to leave their current airline. I think there is still one more opportunity to resign gracefully from Mesa and that would be on award of a class date. I don't think they can list you as being fired if you are unable to attend class for personal reasons and so hand in your resignation. |

Attrition notwithstanding, nobody is going strait in as an upgrade at Mesa; at least not in this lifetime. I'm in 9th year, getting downgraded.
