Line guarantee is just what it is... line guarantee. Cancellation pay (whether it is leg by leg or by day) implies when a specific leg or series of legs is cancelled you are compensated 100% for that in a day. Line guarantee is worse because once you get something cancelled you can over block the rest of the month and it usually won't matter.

true, but if you have open time that is above line guarantee, then it is guarantee and all the open time on top. So after the first cancellation and you are line guarantee, cancel the rest of the month (you are working for free) and pick up open time. If you have OT on top of line guarantee.

Two buddies in ORD hired last May--still on reserve. One of them got a line last Fall but that was just luck and lack of staffing.

Estimates were guesses at time to hold a line...correct as necessary. Bottom line is you won't get PHX, you'll be RSV forever in ORD, and a couple/few mo. In IAD or CLT. LA base, who knows, if it happens I'd guess it will be hard to get. Hope they get the sim bottleneck fixed so you guys can get done.

Well..

The additional 10 900s are supposed to be going to phx, so whether phx or lax, it's doesn't matter. Increase west coast flying will bring down the reserve times everywhere.
