Is it really that upsetting to people when they talk to Mesa pilots and find that they aren't disgruntled jerks begging to move on that they have to come to APC and bash the company?

I was interviewed for almost three hours and had an internal rec.

Doesn't XJT only conduct a personality interview? I got my 135 job without a sim or tech interview and flew pax to all kinds of crazy places as a 1200 hour captain, and Amflight has been giving phone offers recently to do probably one of the most difficult jobs in flying. Pretty sure this is all commonplace.

Maybe you should break out the Google, meah, and learn a little about your industry.

XJet requires you take the Delta test which includes a very thorough aviation knowledge section.

Ameriflight has done phone interviews and once you pass it, you have to fly a sim to acceptable standards. My friend who was hired very recently has to shoot an NDB approach.

You are spouting misinformation. Why are you here fighting with trolls about how bad your contract is (it's terrible) or how laughable your company's hiring practices are (a pulse and ATP mins)?

So much faux outrage.

Yes, I've seen the Delta test.

Amflight offered me a job after an over the phone interview. I would have had to pass the sim in training, but not as a prelim screening. This is true for one of my former colleagues as well, who now flies for them.

I'm defending Mesa because I work here and to counter all of the crazy misinformation on this site. When a class of new hires comes through and I see that they're a group of interesting folks with a wide range if experiences, that's a good thing, and people who are considering Mesa should know about it.

So you're management.

To counter, my friend, hired within the year, had to take a screening sim evaluation, not a training sim, as a condition of employment.

People should know that your pay scale is an embarrassment and by going to Mesa, you are encouraging the company to continue to pay near poverty-level wages to new FOs for well over 2 years. It takes 5 years to get paid what an FO at almost every other airline makes after year 1 or 2.

But hey, as long as you guys are happy with it and not disgruntled. Oh, and by the way, the two least disgruntled pilot groups on this site, by far, are also the two worst paid. It must a correlation between pilots who are willing to accept jobs for less than their value and those who are KoolAid drinking yes-men.

To think that a manager would come on here and post, especially as frequently as I do, is crazy. I'm an FO. I choose to be here. When I don't want to be here any more, I'll leave instead of crying about wages I chose to earn.

Mods: Can we merge this with one of the two other Mesa threads currently in progress?

Yes it is obscure and weird in our times of working hard to be likable in an interview, but with all our certificates and prior tests, is it really so strange for it to be done this way if they want to?
Don't worry about it.

How long does it take to get a call from Mesa after applying?

Can you re-ask this question in the Mesa or Mesa Hiring thread?

Meah, you have 13 total posts several of which you introduced yourself to APC. You joined in April and now you're dumping out multiple posts/threads on mesa's apparent hiring practices? Here's a few in case you had forgotten you had posted these in another thread?

Sorry I had to edit this. So if you interviewed at silver or endeavor or somewhere else and were hired that's good enough to skip a personality eval at Mesa?! That's a joke right?

What's your story? I see you're former piedmont, why did you runoff on them to fly CRJ's? Why all this pent up passion for MAG to stop hiring in a fashion that you merely feel is unacceptable?

I somewhat see concern and the past might be doomed to repeat itself. However, sounds like you want more pageantry and fanfare?

I'm really still hoping i get a godd*mn chimp to fly with! It be way cooler than flying with any of ya'lls ass*s. Eat some burritos and talk sh*t about those muthafuggin o-Rang-a-Tangs!
