I never said I truly believed it, first off. Secondly, I heard it a couple months ago from a pilot at Republic. He supposedly heard Mesa was moving the E175's to Dulles.

Hearing from upper mangement that we (RA) are opening an IAH base early 2018. No mention of booting MESA though.

Why would anyone who thought we there was a chance of being booted out of IAH accept an August Ejet class?

Again, someone else who can't read. I never said I truly believed it. Was just asking if anyone else heard any variation of that rumor.

Republic iah base has been a rumor for a while. I'll believe it when I see it. I'll believe it when I see it. Hope it happens. It will give mesa pilots in iah an option for an industry standard contract and affordable healthcare.

The rumor of Republic opening an IAH base is as old as the Continental/United merger, when the Shuttle America E-170s started to show up in IAH. In early 2014 everyone was saying an IAH base was imminent and they got EWR instead. Then when they announced that batch of 52 E-175s for United in late 2014 Bedford himself mentioned in an email that DEN and IAH could be future bases; we are still waiting, and by the way we at Mesa ended up getting some of those E-175s (was it 24 of them?) when RAH entered chapter 11. Then everyone was saying that as soon as they exited chapter 11 IAH was going to open, and as of right now is still only rumors. They have always had a decent operation out of IAH, but they have always been against hub bases. Also Mesa, in spite of being Mesa, is doing fine in IAH right now, specially when compared to the other two United regionals that operate out of there.

Envoy has been saying that were leaving dfw since we got there. 3+ years later still here. Pilots in general don't have inside info on what's going on especially at other airlines.

What about PHX? Heard roumors of Skywest possibly growing Phx and Mesa shrink there, as well as Skwywest taking over some of the DFW eagle flying.

We had 24 175's on order when we filed. We kept 12 deliveries and gave you guys the other 12 by signing the 12 orders over to United.

No new major rumors floating around YX about IAH. Just the same old ones. Though it does sound like a new base is possible in the next 6 months. Not holding my breath for it though.
