I was in the same situation and made the same choice for the same reason. I had alot of sleepless nights and alot of second guessing myself. But now I'll be off to fly for a great airline in a couple of weeks, so hopefully I made the right choice. Looking back, I think I did.

Flew RC's from Oct 1981 to Dec 1992 - flew the "BALL" 81-83 at Shemya
was at Mildenhall 89-91 on the staff - 250+ ops missions, 6,000 hrs all that good stuff -Gulf War 1 - what alot of good flying and crews

We've definitely crossed paths. I was a Co from '83 to '86 in the 38th, flew Tweets at Vance from '86 to '90, and then was an AC/IP/EP from '90 to '95.

I think you came from PAEI to KOFF with a batch that included Rich Black. Larry Weber (Elmo) was my first A/C, Rich was my second.


I've been at FedEx a little longer than you've been at OMNI. We have a fairly large contingent of RC guys here. Mark Conger is a regular at the reunions.
