Can he count this as combat time on his resumes? Should he list this as an accident/incident? Is a sorry just taking off or do you have to have a landing as well?

I’d love to see HR ask a “tell me about a time”.
You’ve got to tell the pilot on the hiring team about that time you successfully handled an emergency.
Since he doesn’t carry pax he doesn’t need 3 landings in 90 days.
You think he did a presolo written?

....what else...

Nothing accidental at all about enemy action. I think he gets a pass on that.
