AFRC UPT Selectees' Average Scores/GPA/Hours
For those who are desiring to fly for the Air Force Reserve, you can use the selectees' average scores/GPA/hours below from few months back as a benchmark. Unfortunately, I do not have the selection rate however I was told by my recruiter that sponsored applicants have a high chance of selection. PM me if you are interested. I can certainly guide you in the right direction as I have recently gone through the process myself.

As a previous board member let me highlight two things
1) Metrics matter. Don't make an excuse that "my low AFOQT score is made up by my 1,000 of Cessna 152 instructor time". Always do what you can to have the very best metrics.
2) Dress for the job you want. We met a great candidate at our last board we turned away. He had a fairly outrageous haircut (shaved on the sides, long and curly on top) and wore skinny jeans to our social event. We let it pass. The next day he showed up to the interview with an already "loud" haircut styled very aggressively, a "skinny modern suit" that was about 2-3 inches too short (a very modern style) and no socks - with his ankles hanging out.
There's no requirement to show up "boot cut" nor in a some false military uniform - but look the part.
Again - dress for the job you want, not the Instagram model you follow.
I wish you all the best.

Airlines want pilots to project a conservative, competent, even aloof image in public... that is actually comforting to many or most of their pax. Cool, hip, funny is what flight attendants are for.
Regionals barely care either way.

Yep. Those are the standards you are going to be judged by though. But feel free to show up with a nose piercing, full beard, tats crawling down your arms and up your neck, and hair dyed Seahawks blue and green. Your competitors for the job will all thank you for taking yourself out of the competition.
And I have no problem with that. Anyone who philosophically disagrees with the standards sufficient to make an issue of it deserves what he/she/they/it gets.

Welcome to the real world, major airlines are the same way (except for one, that no longer exists).

We had many great candidates, presentation matters.
The line between those we hire and those we don’t is narrow. Don’t move yourself across that line.
I am looking forward to instructing and flying with the men and women we hired.
I hope those of you searching for this opportunity can understand the message I’m trying to communicate.
Best of luck in your application and interview process.
