Default J-Day

Today is the day the 130- J models are to be assigned to the guard units in the running for them. Does anyone have any good rumors?

Looks like the decision is getting postponed again.

LoL! I’m glad I wasn’t drinking anything when I read that exchange.

It used to be that there were two kinds of Guard units. Those that flew tankers and those that would soon. Big AF has decided that was too good a deal. So... now it’s those that fly predators and those that will become an intel squadron to analyze predator video feed. Just ask the Kansas Guard at McConnell. From fighters to bones to tankers to an intel unit in less than twenty years.

This J-model decision is starting to remind me of the Boeing/Airbus tanker decision of a decade ago.

SAV, SDF and West Virginia

I am probably the only person who cares about this.

They're coming for everyone. Can't fly H2s forever.

You are not. I was hopeful to join one of the units that did not receive the J. Now I’m worried about their mission moving forward. Brutal
