A good site that has forums and info is wantscheck.com. It's good stuff. They have a listing for a ton of guard and reserve units as well as gouges and information on applying for active duty.

ya, i believe we try to hire 2 primarys and 2 alt per year. i know there is a board this aug. its pretty competitive. many of my friends have applied and been turned down, and they spent 6 years enlisted in the same unit.
but the st jo unit is a great one. my uncle is the opps squadron CC. he loves it. wants me to come fly for him next year. but i dont think i want to be in the milirary anymore. im set on the airlines.

would be able to get in touch with your uncle to see if they are taking applications for a board this year? I'd like to get my stuff in with them since i'm down in missouri right now.
