Honestly, a busted checkride 10-20 years ago is not going to cause you to not get the job as long as you 'fess up, take responsibility, and show that you learned from the experience.

Now, a PATTERN of busted checkrides, on the other hand ...

I didn't even have a logbook for either interview just handed them my AF flying history report and they looked at it for about 2 seconds and gave it back, as far as the busted checkrides - they (AAI/UPS) never asked but at the end I forked over the form8s on two qual/instm (straight Q-3 and a Q-3/1) interviewers laughed about the associated stories and was called for training w/in a week. BE HONEST thats what they are looking for - the 15 minutes in the sim will tell them whether or not you're a trainable pilot
