It's a flanker variant...same with the Su-35.

These 4.5 generation flankers appear to be dangerous, the indians seem to be putting them to good use in exercises.

It doesn't look very stealthy. I wonder what it costs compared to the F-22?

Recovers from a flat spin in 1 minute can it?
Sure hopes he start WAAAAAYYYYYY up there then since you can reach RODs in excess of 30,000' fpm
Just like the old 'Cobra' maneuver - a lot of that fancy flying doesn't really relate to combat maneuvers. The Russians have always built incredibly powerful aircraft - and it seem in the last decade they have made some good leaps and bounds in flight controls. I wonder if the egronomics are any better in their newer aircraft? Still makes for a heck of an airshow though!

OK Kilgore - you have 8 minutes of my time to plead your case.
The quote at around 5:30 is comm standaard before launching any weapon during a fight. If approved up the chain - it can be slightly altered to fit any situation

I want to first say I have never flown in the military so I don't know much about air-air combat. While the video is impressive and the aircraft must be a blast to fly or watch at an airshow I wonder how that converts to real life combat flying?

Having a jet like that 40 years ago against our F-4's would probably result in many kills for the Russians but as KC10 mentioned above, it does not appear to have any stealth capability which in todays environment would seem to be a problem. All that dancing isn't going to do it if you can't see your opponent and he can see you(radar).

It kind of reminds me of a this:
