I use the AAFES special. It's the Coranado (sp?) brand. It's a great size, has wheels and only costs about $25. I've had mine for about 3 years and it's holding up pretty well. The one prior lasted about 4 years. No complaints from me.

Anyone use North Face? Lifetime warranty seems pretty hard to pass up.

I use a Briggs and Riley... Pricey up front, but also has lifetime warranty. It fits in the 717, all of the 737s I've flown (3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 9ER) and the 75/76 of course. I've got the "expandable" version for those longer trips...though it would not fit in the overhead bins when expanded (checked luggage only). Look on eBay for descent prices.

I have to agree with rolo12. I started out with a Luggage Works Stealth Bag. It was very heavy (even when empty). Every time I checked it, another zipper broke. The strap with the hook on it was a pain when checking a bag. There was not a place for a lock on the zippers (I like to use the TSA approved locks). It was not expandable. It did not have a lifetime warranty.

Now I use a Briggs and Riley. It is light. It is durable. The strap for another bag is designed well. The zippers are strong and allow for a lock. It has an external handle mechanism which allows for a flat back of the bag (less wrinkled clothes). It is expandable. It has a lifetime warranty.

They are both >$300 for the 22" bag. It is a business expense for now (Hope/Change).

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys for the input. A buddy sold me his brand new North Face 30" Longhaul. Sweet bag, he got a free on when he was working at REI. First trip with the bag is tomorrow to FL. Trip report to come!

Cheers
