Interesting. Only person I've ever given my medical to was the NATOPS-O. The DFAS people must have spies, or maybe admin has to report that kind of thing.

I didn't pay enough attention to realize you're talking about Navy records.

In the Air Force every Flight Physical generates a Form AF1042 which is sent to flight records, who tells finance to start/stop flight pay, no spying necessary for them.

Gotcha. Yeah I'm not sure how DFAS would know for us, unless you were on non-flying orders in a non-aviation command.
