No, Borman was in the 44th from '51 to '56. Questions? Don't post a generic question on here then take offense at a generic response. Either post the facts up front, or keep your sensitivities to yourself.

Sorry to hear that, fewer and fewer P-38 pilots everyday. I had a close relative in the 12th FS which was in the same 18th Fighter Group, 13th Air Force (SW Pacific)

Wrong fighter group, but we had 7 WWII P-38 guys at the 1st Fighter Group (North Africa/Italy) reunion this summer. Great group of guys!

Sorry, drive by post.....I don't know anyone from the 44th. Wish I did.

What are you trying to do at the 445th? My dad flew there when they had 141's.

He said 44th. Not 445th.
