I liked the Prowler, you just have to get over the fact that you are outnumbered three to one. Maybe it is worse for a Marine...

That was one of the factors that seemed to be prevelant in the migivings in the squadron culture that I heard most often - the ready room make-up.
Did you happen to ever serve with the Garudas?
I spent some time with them when they were deployed UDP in the mid-90s.

Don't worry guys, if the fighter pilot package doesn't work, there is still a chance to become an Army pilot!

I have actually met this guy. He was a MAWTS IP and came around to the fleet Hornet squadrons performing Air Combat Tactics Instructor certifications, though he didn't do mine. He had a reputation as a one of the better IP draws for the cert, and as a good guy all around. I had heard that he had gotten out and become a motivational speaker, but when a buddy sent me a link to his website as a job prospect, I about fell over. He doesn't come on nearly so strong in person, and is actually pretty personable. Can't vouch for his program, however.

He was in VTs with me at Corpus. We hung out with a lot of the same crowd and I always thought he was a decent dude. When I saw the "Power Pack" ads though, I thought,"Wow, he didn't seem like a douche back in flight school..."

Kind of dorky. Whatever, the guy has a job and is using what the military gave him to make a living. I agree, he's giving out info you and I would give out for free. But if somebodies willing to pay, then let him charge. Still a little to Top Gunnish, Tom Cruise for my taste. At least he's speaking as an expert though.
