Default Master's Degree after ACSC

I can't believe I'm asking this........

Just finished ACSC via coorespondence last night. It looks like I'll be doing this reserve gig for a lot longer than I expected.

What's the easiest, cheapest, lowest hassle way to convert my ACSC credits towards a Master's Degree? I don't care what it's in, what's the easiest road to get it done?

I know American Military University, Norwich, ERAU, etc. all have vehicles to convert your PME to college credit.

Who's got the gouge?

I feel dirty just asking the question.......

what kind of degree you want? if youre a reservist youre probably getting your masters to do more than just check a box. all the active guys do that Tourou MBA which i think ends up being totally free but outside of the military its a completely worthless unaccredited degree. i believe there might be an embry riddle masters that will give you transfer credits for your mil stuff.

but out of curiosity, as a c5 ip you dont have a ups/fedex job lined up?

I'm a reservist, and yes, I want a completely worthless degree to try and get promoted down the road. The winds of change are blowing and the next LTC PV board may well require a Master's degree. Right now, a Master's is masked on your records. I think a Master's is a must for O-6.

I am in FedEx's hiring pool.

ERAU gives graduate credit, and the degree isn't too difficult and carries alot of weight in the outside world.

I'm holding out for when they switch back to masking. How many times have they gone back and forth? I've lost track. I know a lot of guys are using embry ridiculous because they take all of your PME as credits. You can use SOS, Safety School, ACSC (shame on you for completing it) Good luck!

If it makes you feel better, I failed the first four tests, the second one twice and had to be re-enrolled.

ACSC has made it hard to past the tests with just the purples.

Default Jun '08 LtCol will have education unmasked...

FredEx,

Great question about where to get the Cracker Jack Master's--I'm a reservist, too and will be meet the Jun '08 LtCol board. I'm hearing next year's board is still masked, but the '08 will show your education stats. I'd like to get a master's ASAP, and have heard about AMU, ERAU, Webster's, and maybe even Univ of Phoenix giving some credit (up to 6 hours) for ACSC. Also another 3 for SOS. I will be snooping around the AD squadrons in the next week or so to poll folks about which program is friendliest. I'm leaning towards a pure online program so I can log in anywhere around the world when I'm on the road.

Also, if you are an activated reservist, the VA is apparently got a pretty good reserve GI Bill out there (is it 1067?) that could pay for most of this thing...

Let me know what YOU hear...
