rev4life - how about finish your Bachelor's degree and seek an active duty Air Force pilot training slot? Do 10 years of active service to build flying experience then transition to Reserve and airlines.

BBJay - what are we missing in your background that explains why you haven't been hired? Or are your credentials typical of those awaiting hiring with with majors?

(I'm an active duty AF C-17 pilot)

Having a retirement from the military helps the transition but I agree with 10 years and then reserves. I did not figure that out in time.
