Default B-17/B-25 video

Some very nice shots of both airplanes airborne and on the ground.
I especially like the views of the B-17 from the left side as it waits for takeoff (first 0:30 secs of the video)
I was told in the original e-mail that they flew around the Superstition Mountains of Arizona. I thought to myself - well that is boring landscape.
Obviously a different set of Superstition Mountains than the ones I was thinking of in the middle of the R-2510 near El Centro!

The Superstition Mountain I know of is 8 miles east of the former Williams AFB.

The ones I know aren't even big hills
It makes a perfect *in-field* though for the low and fast race track for low altitude traning!!

Thanks for posting that USMCFLYR. I forwarded it to a friend whose Father was B-17 Crew back in WWII over Europe. His Father has passed on now but a number of years back my friend took him on a flight on one of the Commemorative Air Force aircraft while they were in Long Beach CA. I'm hoping that it will bring back some fond memories. I can only imagine the memories it brought back for his Dad.

Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force

Not sure it was the Arizona Wing, but you get the idea.

I'll hope that was a fond memory!
Maybe someone many, many hopeful years from now will give me another ride in a restored Hornet
I definitely plan on asking for the controls at some point though!
