I hope BA#1 never does anything like that!

I did find the article on the F-16 -vs- F/A-18 interesting though and accurate comparing the pros/cons of each to what most have ever said that flew both at some point in their careers. One difference from what I have heard others mention (maybe Grumble or BDGERJMN will chime in) - the Super IS NOT a more maneuverable airplane than the Legacy Hornet - especially the earlier Lot 9s (upgraded (A+s)) or the Lot 16-18s for example; but a better A/G platform with the SA tools available.

Any other squadron CO, yes. But this guy's job is to be in the public light.

Some general probably put him up to, I've recently had to do similar PR stunts for the same reason...social media seems to be a hot button with our flag and general officers these days.

If the target audience is young people (potential recruits), maybe that is an appropriate "stage". Gotta hunt where the ducks are.

There are singles bar - and then there are classy single bars.
Exactly what type of recruit are you going for?

There is a funny story that a young Marine Captain was briefing the then Commandant on the series of mrine recruiting commercials where the recruit battles the lava looking monster. The Commandant supposedly looked the Captain in the eye after viewing the promo and said 'Captain....I don't get it."
The Captain - stone serious says "General....YOU are suppose to get it."

True or not - it is a valid point.
rickair made a valid point about social media - but as often happens on APC - how much really good information has been conveyed and how much has evolved into petty arguments and statements. I would hope that the squadron CO's time could be better scheduled, but then I'm not big into social media either.so I'm certanly not int tune if this particular site would really be a recruiting ground.
