Check your numbers. As a major, I make $3-4000/quarter.

Also consider that if you cannot tolerate the regional QOL and quit, you have to satisfactorly explain that in your AA/DL/UA/SW interview, if even invited to that interview after you indicate on your resume that you've previously quit an airline pilot job.
Points taken...I do, however, feel that total time was an issue for me with just over 2k hrs (most of it non-military). The regional will surely help in that regard.

Regardless, I have made the leap and am a few weeks away from completing training. So far, I am enjoying it and will try to make the best of life "on the line." Luckily, I landed a base where I live...which is huge! Ultimately, I feel it will make me a more rounded aviator and if nothing else, another check on the app in regards to 121 time. No one knows the magic formula...And the best part is I can head back to the Herk anytime I fell the need for speed

For others reference. I make ~ $1,800/month as a Captain in a fighter squadron doing my 4 UTAs/4 AFTPs. If I sit 2 alerts, I can get to $2500.

This got me interested so I added all my pay periods + my AT days and divided it out = an average of ~ 2,100/month.

As a major in the A-10, I take home $1400/mo... 4 AFTPs and 4 UTAs. Not sure about other communities, but we get 48 AFTPs and 48 UTAs per year.

Amount increases when on Title 10 or 32 orders.

Squawk, I hope you're going to DTW... I need the seniority! Are you CLE ERJ/MFD C-130?

How does a major make less than a captain flying the same amount?

Shouldn't. Pancake is talking "take home" and Dawg is probably talking Gross.

Sorry, Pancake...CRJ200 to ATL. I live 15 min from the airport..the chance of getting Atlanta was one of the only reasons I decided go to XJT. But hey, looks like the latest ERJ attrition numbers are looking up for you!

Edit: Disregard last...DTW sounds like you're CRJ as well
