Is it just me, or do reviews like these potentially jeopardize these examiners...?

How? The check ride at Sander's was no walk in the park by any means. There was a lengthy and detailed oral exam, and the ride itself was not easy. Both of which easily met FAA standards. It was definitely something you had to study, prep and chairfly for. It was not a show and go, "ATP complete" ride that's for sure.
I flew my ATP checkride with Gordo in '07. Was not a show up and pass event but it wasn't stump the chump like some checkride horror stories we have all read and heard about. I think if called to the carpet, Gordo can be comfortable with his examiner rides in how he executes them. What students choose or dont choose to pass around is up to them; my $.02. |
So...those of us who are getting / have completed the ATP before the lock becomes effective, good for us.
Now what? |
Recommendation
Does anyone have a recommendation for Delmarva? I have recent twin turbo prop experience so just need a good place to knock it out.

Finished my ATP written this past weekend. Looking for recommendations for practical tests in Tampa/St Pete, Orlando, Sarasota area. Very interested in your thoughts. BTW congrats to all those who have made the deadline.

PM me if you have any questions about the program. Good luck whichever way you go. Av8r |
737 Type Rating
Newbie here. Going to retire in the spring and plan to go the airline route. I plan to get my ATP practical done with a 737 type rating. Have no experience flying heavy stuff and figured it was an easy way to knock it all out at once, especially since I can use my post 9/11 on it. My question is does this really hurt you on some apps? A buddy at FEDEX told me it will lead companies to believe you have Southwest dreams. I cannot imagine how it would hurt, especially since I have been on a staff job the last year. Appreciate anyone's thoughts on this.

ATP practical
Wont hurt, go for it. Looking at your resume anyone could figure out why you did it. And you can answer question easily.
SWA is still a great place, but its no longer the be all end all. |
