Anyone have All ATP gouge for KHOU
 

Guys,

Herk type trying to knock my ATP out prior to heading back overseas. ATP written complete, and looking at going thru All ATP for the practical at Houston. Houston is one of the few places that offers weekend examinations, so it is the only location I can make that offers weekends.

Looking for the good/bad/ugly in regards to examiners and if this is a "horror story" location

Where can you get a extremely canned no messing around check ride? If i have to get the ATP in a light twin i don't want to have to actually understand the oral. I wanna spit it out fly and be done with it. This is a no joke check ride. If anybody knows where i can have it almost handed to me and spoon fed please let me know. And i am dead serious.

+1. 737 Type / ATP, MGIB/post 9-11 compatible. Great training, very relaxed atmosphere, yet they get you everything you need to feel completely confident going into your checkride with one of their in-house examiners - who are all great dudes.

This is an outstanding option for military with VA benefits.

Ditto to the above. I went through their course back in 2007. I'm always quick to recommend them.

Just did AllATPs 2 day in Arlington. Pretty straightforward. Half day academics on Seminole systems (basically a rehash of their Seminole booklet plus a couple of extra tidbits) and 4 hours in the plane for checkride profile prep. If you do your homework before you get there you'll be fine. If you expect to be taught what you need to know in a day and a half then you'll have problems. My examiner was awesome, stuck to the script. The other student's examiner sounded like a tool. He still passed, but the oral and flight were not as expected. PM if you want more details.

Completed my ATP 2 years ago at DWH. I did a 2 day course over the weekend at the last minute because I wanted to have an ATP prir to attending an aviation expo. I flew 2 flights on Saturday with a checkride on Sunday. It was definitely unpleasant but was exactly as I had expected. Ground eval was fairly basic and I endured the practical. Essentially a USAF Instrument Qual check flown under VFR. The examiner was not prior military and they don't have a lot of military flying checkrides there. Not the easiest going of checkpilots but I don't think there was a negative bias there either. The examiner administered about 6 checkrides that weekend and did fail a guy on an instrument check that almost departed the runway when the examiner failed an engine on takeoff roll.

New program in San Antonio looking to cater to military transitions at Texas Aviation Academy. Not sure if you can get it done over the weekend though.

Hearing all the horror stories of people failing or having a miserable time makes me so glad I sacrificed 9 months of my 9/11 GI Bill that gave me a 737-type with an ATP under a completely stress free and fun environment.

Yeah.. I did the 2 day AATPs course, got ZERO Seminole systems class.

Would have helped a bit on the oral for sure.
