Yes, I tried after loosing/misplacing my original. The original was free; they were formerly available at no cost. For many years, and before 9/11 and the closing or restricted access to many government offices, you could go to any FCC office and walk out with your RROP for free. Mine was so old I was no longer in the database and had to pay $50 for a replacement... Yes, nice racket...

Apparently if you go on the website and change your address, you will be issued a fresh one for free. I laminated mine and have yet to have anyone other than my current employer ask me for a copy (I sent a scan).
The whole thing is a government scam. Ridiculous.
