Their PSDM said any 19 year folks could apply. When did you submit your application in? I submitted my eligibility check 17 Jan and haven't heard anything. Their 10 business days are up Friday, but I'm not holding my breath. How hard is it to check 3 dates? I had to change my DEROS to be eligible so cats out of the bag with my leadership and assignment guy at AFPC. This is starting to look like a giant 5h!t show...

A buddy of mine said their Squadron POC called down to AFPC on Monday to check on a few guys who were confused about if they were eligible or not... the guy at AFPC said they've had over 7000 applications so far. I have no idea how accurate that number is, whether that is for both O's and E's, if that was just the initial eligibility request with the 10 day response... either way that is a big number! I have no idea how many folks they have working this right now, but do know a few guys who were notified they were eligible to apply on a Saturday... not sure if that means they are working on weekends or not.

The VSP window opens on the 6th and I have yet to hear anyone other than oxf16 hear anything either way after officially applying for TERA. I assume they need to start notifying the initial group soon because the flood gates are going to open with VSP guys on the 6th!

Default TERA

FlyFastLiveSlow--
I applied day one 14 Jan. 2 days later I receive "APPROVED" then send my retirement application forward. Shortly after received an email stating 6-8 weeks before I would get my retirement orders.

Then on Monday a cryptic not approved and no one at AFPC could answer my *** questions.

Just wanted to advise others that maybe AFPC is not on their "A" game with this. Perhaps lagging this fight might be best.

Mine was disapproved by AFPC due to an ADSC for training. What ever happened to the ADSC waiver process?

Howdy. New to the site, but wanted to add to the pile of "rejections" for the TERA program.

I'm in the 19-20 TAFMS group and despite Note 6 "All ADSCs will be waived", I was told I am ineligible because I have an ADSC.

I tried to ask about this exception, but the person at AFPC just didn't understand the concept. They stated, "that's just for the AFSCs, not ADSCs"... Umm, no-it says it right there in the PSDM. They closed my case. ***?

Thought this may be helpful to some. Here's the detailed timeline of my saga (times are CST for AFPC)

0546, 14 Jan: Initial Application for package screening
1332, 16 Jan: Eligible to Apply from AFPC
1913, 16 Jan: Message, stating -we see you are going to pin on Major-you need to write a memo that you accept retiring in the lower rank. I reply, been a Major since 09 and have a line #, assume you mean memo for LTC? Write memo, upload the Statement of Understanding for TERA and submit.
1931, 16 Jan: Application received and forwarded to my CC
1424, 17 Jan: Your CC signed your stuff off. Wait...
1657, 29 Jan: We see you did AFIT, we're not waiving this under TERA. My response, "no I did IDE in Res" but this shouldn't matter anyway because of Note 6 in the PSDM, second sentence....Read out loud to me, "For officers with 19 but less than 20 years TAFMS, all ADSCs will be waived"
1440, 31 Jan: From AFPC-The 19 less than 20 refers to the AFSCs and Quotas not the ADSCs

Case Closed.

Has anyone heard of anyone actually approved yet? I have heard of plenty denied so far... mostly 11Fs.

They are getting everybody to show their hands early so they can warm up the Djibouti rotator! And then everybody will 3-day opt and they don't have to pay anything… Pretty genius, actually! Definitely an organization I want to remain a part of!
