When that terminology was used in the past at another carrier, it WAS a guaranteed interview. It's NOT at UAL. Like I said, it's part of the legal disclaimer one will receive at an M&G.

What's the time frame you would hear anything about an interview or how it went in their opinion? I did one a couple weeks ago and just twiddling my thumbs wondering! Thanks!

Training manager in IAH. Padre as my sponsor. He had appointments all day long an hour apart so maybe he's just backed up?

Correct. I know he's supposed to do some sort of recommendation but it hasn't shown up on my airline apps so I've also been wondering if it goes straight to HR.. Hmm.

Sucking up is one thing. Having someone who knows you validate that you are not a self-serving jerk is another. Why should an airline take a chance on a "stranger" over someone who is recommended as a "good guy"? It's called networking and it is life.
