Airline Apps just answered my question. "The airlines have the ability to turn the conversion factor on or off, and currently Delta has it turned off."

Here's what I noticed on my app...on the computer screen there's no annotation of a mil-conversion. If you're called to an interview, they tell you to bring a printout of the app. You keep that in front of you during the panel interview for reference as they review your app. When you print the app, there's a new field (not displayed on the screen) that shows your totals, and it doesn't agree with anything you saw on the screen. I freaked out a little thinking I'd screwed up something and didn't want to look like a buffoon, but a little backward engineering and you'll find the system added 0.2 per mil sortie to your totals.

I don't know if this is turned off now, as parsonhngr mentions, but it's easy enough to print your app and see if the new field is there.

Good hunting!

A mil friend of mine that did both the DAL and UAL app a while ago said/phrased it like this;

When DAL had the sortie conversion "on", he got to see his totals with the conversion on the "front end" so to speak. However, when he did the UAL, it didn't seem to add up the totals with the multiplier, even though IT IS given. So his totals were the same as his own personal record/forms. Meaning, credit or an adjusted total is given on the "back end" that he couldn't see.
