My goods were combined with another smaller PCS and was told they were weighed separately. Imagine my surprise when I was told I was way overweight (actually impossible since I didn't move everything that was moved off base) after the fact and had absolutely no recourse. Uncle Sugar was not interested in investigating my case at all. Besides all of the damage, it cost me a small fortune. Nice parting shot after 20 years of service. No....I'm not bitter about it.
They weighed me at 18.5k even though my last move was around 15.5k and this time I pulled a u-haul with over 1000 lbs of crap in it. I made them reweigh and lo and behold it came back at 15.5k. Pretty sure they did the exact same thing to me, when the truck showed at my house it already had a small shipment on board. I was lucky that I got my weight before they unloaded the truck and had the chance to force a reweigh.

Covan broke and lost a lot of my stuff coming out of Ft Rucker. Wasn't my worst move, though.

I retired many years ago, but my move went fine. I don't know what my weight was, but I know I was way over. I didn't worry about it as I was due a move from my current employer and they were going to pay my over weight in stead of the whole move. Never did get a bill.
