Oh ok great so it is done before OTS? Thanks for the great info. Will the flight physical count as meps too or do you have to do both?
MEPS is separate and much easier, you'll do that physical with a bunch of 18 year olds fresh out of high school and on their way to boot camp. It will be after completing the flight physical. Then after OTS you go to Wright Patterson AFB I think (used to be Brooks) for a more extensive eye physical and heart scan. You'll also take a battery of personality tests and IQ tests. The tests are for study purposes only and have no bearing on your qualification to attend UPT. The eyes and heart exams do matter.
Not sure if any of this applies to Guard/Reserve guys, might just be AD ROTC & OTS.
