Personally.... (I'm on the fringe).... but I think that only land owners and prior/current military pesonnel should have the right to vote.
This might be a little too much of a discrimination. How about, you have to be a high school graduate to vote.

With the graduation rates in Detroit being 30% it would get interesting.

I would probably settle for that....
It really gets me about how many people complain about the wording of the amendments/revisions on the ballot... even though the actual wording is available prior to. The wording order is not simple....but the words are not obscure. What ever happened to the education of America ?(rhetorical)

Also I would tend to agree with Hamilton that unfettered democracy is anarchy. The problem with equality is that in reality people are not equal... perhaps they are born equal, but equality does not perpetuate.

You missed the latest quote. Or it may not be the latest, but it was a later one. Down to $97,000 for a family. He said that those families making over 97K are among the top 6% of wealth earners. Should not be a problem to pay higher taxes.

You're kidding right??? That is absolutely insane and I don't understand how he can justify this! Where did you hear this latest number by the way?

I think it comes from this ... YouTube - Obama: families making $97,000 are "upper class" and should pay more taxes

It gets past most people that the country has not always paid income tax. Its unconstitutional to tax individuals wages as it is a fair trade, but most people don't care. The high court ruled on it and like always, the government just does not care.
