Default China Trade Implications

China purchasing manager index is down, and for 4 straight months, especially with regards to exports.
What is this index composed of, usually several components, but especially: new orders, production, order backlogs, employment, and supplier deliveries
What does it mean? The Chinese economy is in bad shape, U.S. stocks and especially commodities are falling because of this. Their currency is starting to depreciate and although, this is set by their Govt, it could be a function of a change in policy.
Bottom line, we haven't hit bottom yet, tax policies to stimulate investment are more important now than ever.

Could this portend the future? If it does watch out; and millions of hungry and unemployed people in any kind of political structure does not bode well for the future well being of that country.

Interesting. Had Cuba been less concerned about their "revolutionary" ideals, they could have become the Switzerland of the Caribbean. Just by establishing themselves as a tax free banking/retirement center to Europeans, Americans and Canadians not answerable to EU or US inquiries they could have made enough money so that no Cuban would ever have to work again.
