Default Mobile Phone CONUS

Looking for experience with mobile phone providers/products/service plans and reliability. Returning to domestic flying and will need a rugged, reliable phone for contacting crew scheduling, dispatcher...etc.

Which phone/provider has worked for you? Which would you never touch again?

What company? That will probably determine which phone might be ideal.

FedEx. Very junior 757 captain, so probably a lot of SD, ID, and other northern states no one else wants to bid.

Verizon.

AT&T / T-Mobile won't have the complete coverage that Verizon does in those rural-ish areas. But, the downside is that no Verizon phone will work off-shore, including the new Verizon iPhone.

I'm sure some Fedex peeps will jump in to suggest a phone.
