Making extra money
Hey everybody, I am looking to try and find some kind of online job I can do from my computer on the road during my trips. Does anyone know of any decent jobs that aren't total scams? Thanx guys!

I also had this thought since I am home a lot with my job but most online jobs you find are scams. And from the research I have done, the legit ones make use a home phone (no cell or hotel room phones) and have a very high internet speed which most hotels can not give you. Also, they make you work a set schedule like a 9-5 so its pretty hard to do if your schedule changes all the time.

There are a few threads about this I believe. Here is my idea, if come tomorrow you were forced to choose a different career what would you do? Got it? Now spend that extra time learning everything about your choice if you chose something that you could manage along side this career, great, do it. Unfortunately as little as we make as airline pilots if we were forced out of the industry tomorrow most of us would have to take a pay cut because our skill isn't greatly appreciated elsewhere.
Web programing is an easy to do on the road, it's however a very competitive industry.
Real Estate if you have some cash saved up there are still some killer deals out there right now for potential FLIPS and rental property to eventually sell when it becomes a sellers market again. I don't recommend taking out a loan to buy new property even though the interest rates are record low, it is a risk I personally cant afford to take.
Lawn Maintenance: if you are home at least 2 days a week this is a great way to stay in shape and make some good money. I used to do this it is a ton of work, but I averaged $600-$800 a day... It got to big for me I had to hire people just to get to all my clients, working sun up to sun down on my days off was tough too.
On a side note I'm a big Dave Ramsey fan, and believe the best way to make money is to stay out of debt so don't borrow money.

On a serious note: Check your local valet companies out. Mine lets me set my own schedule and it's a good way to recoup tip and food/beer money you spend on the road. Plus you get to work outdoors and exercise a little bit.

Hey I know this is kind of late but I have an online business I got into and it's completely legit. In the beginning there's a learning curve with loads a very good training and after you get the hang of it you can start making a couple extra thousands per month (1-3000k realistically if you try hard) with about 1 hour of work each day. All you have to do is blog about whatever interests you. It's actually what I consider to be the perfect side job for pilots who enjoy reading and writing. Anyone who is interested send me a PM and I can give you the details.
Btw there's no phone calls to be made and no set schedule like said in previous posts. You just need a computer that can get onto the Internet.
