I don’t know about that. We are taking deliveries of other airframes too.

I can't find the email with the expected deliveries for this year, but I don't remember the Phenom's being a significantly larger portion of the deliveries than other airframes. There might be an uptick in number of Phenom assignments, but I expect there will still be a fair amount into other fleets. May trend more towards the "entry level" fleets, including the XLS/Sovereign, as people upgrade or move out of those fleets.

The company still decides what slots are available, but a member of the union training committee is effectively the one assigning people to an airframe. Personally not sure how I feel about the union effectively making a fleet assignment without regard to seniority when fleet assignment ends up being directly correlated to how how much money you can make. Not even to mention the fact that this assistance may be making it less likely for the company to be in a position where they will release locks to allow people already on property to move up into better airframes. There's reports of new hires being given the option to fill out a dream sheet, but it sounds like it doesn't really matter when it comes to assignment.

The union guy doing the new hire aircraft assignments said he isn't even looking at the dream sheet the company is apparently having the new hires fill out.

Flew with him once and he told me he tries to assign aircraft based on new hires experiences and what he believes will have the most successful outcome.

Not sure which thread to ask this in. I have a 5/1 class date with NJA. I’m coming from a 141 training background and instructing career. As a result I think I have a fine understanding of PT.91 rules but admittedly lacking knowledge of 135 rules. It’s very possible this is a terrible question but during training will there be any focus on part 135 regulations, or will it be more focused on company SOPs/OPSPECS? Does anyone have any recommendations for study resources for the 135 side of the regs? Besides just actually reading though part 135.

There will be a ton of review of the FOM and 91, 91K, 135 and the differences.

I got class 5/15, I am 6'1 with shoes on, would that fit the Phenom? If its close do they usually play it safe or doesn't matter to them.
