the failure rate at NJA is embarrassing.

Too much time spent studying which is the salad fork, dinner fork, fish fork, dessert fork, and oyster fork. (those are tested during initial)

Not true at all. We fly on them. The no fly list is no longer published and only Safety knows the list but are the ones that set the computer so you can't be booked on them. As for my last type ride in in the XL in March, the sim is booked for 6 hours but we only did 2.2 hours per ride with a long break in between.

Yea it’s incorrect, but also a comical notion. They will book your sorry butt on Mesa all day long yet wouldn’t book Spirit or Frontier?! Yea ok...

I once was booked on UA from SFO-ORD then they bought me a separate Spirit ticket for that same day from ORD-MCO. Had the worst experience in the back but the pilots were happy!

Couldn’t stand 2-3 leg airline flights when there are non stop flights.... Anything to save a buck.

Love how they are teaching all this new GPS approach stuff in initial for Latitude but NJA is not certified to fly them yet!

NJA has been flying RNP-AR approaches for quite some time in some of the fleets. Sounds as if the Latitude folks are doing the training to be ready for when the Ops Spec is amended.

My fleet trained an RNP special approach to Aspen for YEARS before the Fed finally approved it. Just takes a bit of time. And with the government "shutdown" it might be even longer than expected.

The Latitude is not approved for RNAV approaches or RNP approaches?

If not already, I’m sure it will be. Pretty capable airplane. Just a matter of pleasing the Fed.
